Top 10 Different Kinds Of People You Should Avoid

In order to do well in life, it is important to be mentally strong. This comes not only from
intelligence (book smarts), but also being able to read people and having street smarts. If you
want to excel in the real world, you need both types of skills, and must be able to interact with
all types of individuals that society is going to throw in your way. But, for individuals who are
strong, who have a great attitude, and for those who want to excel, it is important to avoid
those who are always trying to bring you down.
Different people have different agendas. If you are hanging out with people who are bad
influences, or trying to do harm upon others to succeed, they are going to bring you down with
them. These are some of the types of people you want to try to avoid, if you want to excel,
and if you want to be seen as a person who is easy going, and easy to get along with in
general.

Showoffs

10. Showoffs

Most of these people are lacking in many areas of their life. People who always talk about
physical belongings, and how great their life is, are always hiding, and trying to compensate for
something. By trying to make others envious of the things you own, you are simply trying to put
others down; these are not the type of people you want to interact with, as they can easily drag
you down with them.

Unintelligent-Individuals

9. Unintelligent Individuals

This isn’t about those who have difficulties in learning; rather, it is the egotistical individual, who
is always bolstering that ego. The large ego, and the self righteousness, along with
the ignorant attitude towards anything they don’t agree with, makes these individuals
impossible to be around. Avoiding them will make you a better person, and will allow you to
immerse in different topics of conversation.

A-Leecher

8. A Leecher

These are the people who take advantage of you. This is not to say you shouldn’t help out a
good friend if you extend the offer; in fact, most good friends will turn down the help. These
are the people who feel comfortable in taking, and never give back. They are not only taking
advantage of you, they are always the ones who will run far, if you ever find yourself in a tough

situation, and in need of help from a true friend.

Lazy-People

7. Lazy People

Laziness rubs off on you. Sure, we all have our days when we want to sleep in, and
do nothing, this is expected. But, those who constantly lye around, never do
anything productive, and simply try to “get by,” are going to bring you down.
Laziness is contagious, and if you are constantly around those who don’t want to do
anything, and are always making excuses, this is going to rub off on you over time as
well.

The Person Who Has The Yolo (You Only Live Once

6. The Person Who Has The Yolo (You Only Live Once Mentality)

Yes, this is true; and, yes, we should be open to new experiences. But, life isn’t to be
lived in this manner every second of your day. You need some stability in your life.
And, if you are always around those who individuals, you are always going to do
things by the seat of your pants. Some things in life require planning; yes, it is okay
to do something spontaneous every once in a while. But, this isn’t the way to lead
your life each and every day.

big-mouths

5. Big Mouths

The big mouth, or the big talker, is always talking about themselves. They always have
to tell you how great they are, they always tell you about new experiences, and their
lives are extremely egocentric. In addition to talking too much, these individuals
don’t do much. If you are a great person, and if you do have many successes, you
don’t have the time to constantly be talking about them. Rather, look for doers, and
people who are go-getters, not those who always have to talk about their great lives.

Depressed People

4. Depressed People

Sure, everyone goes through different tough times in life. And, you shouldn’t turn
your back on a friend in a tough situation. But, people who are clinically depressed,
and always complain about how hard their lives are, will bring you down. You don’t want
to be around negativity; so, you should look for those who are positive, and find
ways to change things around, even when their lives are very difficult at the
present moment.

Those Who Live in a Bubble

3. Those Who Live in a Bubble

People who aren’t willing to leave their comfort zone should be avoided. We all get
used to a routine; but, people who aren’t willing to try something new, or won’t
avert their daily routine, should be avoided. They are eventually going to hold you
back from trying new things, meeting new people, and excelling in the different areas
of your career that you want to move forward in. You should be willing to try new
things, and so should the people you keep company with.

non dreamers

2. Non Dreamers

If people don’t set goals, don’t have dreams, and don’t believe better things will
come, they are living a poor quality of life. You shouldn’t be around these people.
You should be with those who have new ideas, people who want to reach distant
goals, and people who always have a positive outlook, even when they aren’t quite there.
These individuals will bring you down, and hold you back, rather than help you
move forward and excel in life.

non Believers

1. Non Believers

People who don’t believe in themselves, don’t dream of bettering their lives, and
don’t care to look in to the future, these are people who will drag you down. People
who don’t believe in themselves, tend to bring others around them down as well;
they start by talking down on themselves, but eventually move on to those who are
willing to hang around with them. Avoid these people, and look for those who are
positive, have a great mentality, and believe they are going to eventually succeed,
even if they haven’t done so as of yet in their lives.

Different people will drag you down in life; any of these categories of people are
going to try to bring you and talk you down. It is important to surround yourself
with great influences. Not only to drive yourself, but also to have new goals, and
continually dream of better things to come in your future.
